"Apple has settled a class action overseas regarding faulty iPod batteries, but Australians will get nada.

Owners of iPods in the US will get gift vouchers, extended warranties and replacement batteries if their iPods don't meet the advertised targets for battery life and continuous playback.

However, people who bought iPods containing exactly the same batteries living elsewhere in the world, including Australia, will get nothing."
