Senior Associate/Special Counsel

legal.consult is an innovative law firm and communications consultancy seeking an ambitious Senior Associate/Special Counsel who wants a clear path to the top and a share of the rewards from your effort.

You will be working with a diverse range of clients, from companies with a traditional IT&T focus, to those building the next wave of convergent communications including mobile content suppliers and online “broadcasters” and production companies.  legal.consult is also committed to assisting non-profit and community organisations.

A minimum of 4 years specialist Technology / Telecommunications / Intellectual Property (IP) experience, technical excellence and a proven track record for delivering high quality, commercially focused advice are a must.

In addition to providing practical legal advice to clients, you will have the opportunity to advise on and contribute to the development of the firm’s own technology & communications platforms including its Community Builders^®, TXT Addict^®, UpStart^®, electorate.tv^™ and corporate.memory^™ services.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• deal directly with clients alongside our Director of legal services
• supervise at least one other solicitor
• have a revenue budget based on 5 billable hours/day
• earn 50% of revenues in excess of that budget (capped, to prevent workaholism!)
• be a team player
• have a flexible work environment
• be based in our new Parramatta office
